Park Details

Waubedonia Park is over 40 acres of land in a rustic setting, situated between the Milwaukee River shoreline and the west side of the Village of Fredonia. The park is open to the public year round, with daily hours from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Leashed dogs and cats are allowed as long as they are cleaned up after.

Park Reservations & Facilities

Reservations can be made for one of our 13 rustic campsites available at ten dollars per night for up to three nights at any one stay. The camping season runs from the 1st Saturday in May through the 3rd Saturday in October, weather permitting.

We have a rentable open air pavilion with enough picnic tables to seat 100 people. Electricity, banquet tables, and a large out door grill are included with your reservation. The pavilion has flush toilets with cold water sinks and is open to the public.

Next to the pavilion is a small play ground for kids, across the drive is a baseball diamond / soccer field. Picnickers can reserve a special place in the park for a fee or pull up to a spot set down a blanket and watch the river flow by, or roast lunch on one of the many available grills.

Spring is a beautiful time to see the variety of wild flowers that blossom here as well as the migrating birds that us the river as a travel route. Campers can fish for smallmouth bass and northern pike while they lounge away the hours.

Your boats, canoes and kayaks are welcome to use the public launch at no cost while you traverse up or down this historic water way. On the high side of the park everyone is welcome to enjoy a brisk game of tennis on our recently resurfaced tennis courts.

Park Notice

Due to a recent infestation of the Emerald Ash Borer, an invasive beetle that has infected Ash trees in a nearby town. Waubedonia Park is in a quarantined area which prohibits the transfer of firewood into or out of the park. Firewood is available onsite for a modest fee.
