Hazardous Material Team
The mission of the countywide level B hazardous material emergency response team is to protect the lives and safety of the public; stabilize emergency conditions by implementation of effective control and containment methodologies; and protect the environment from uncontrolled chemical releases or potential emergency releases of hazardous material.
Responsibilities
When called out to an incident involving hazardous materials or potential hazardous materials, the team will:
Assess tactical options and resources
Coordinate clean-up and environmental restoration
Determine strategic goals and objectives
Estimate potential course and harm
Gather information
Plan, implement, and then evaluate the implementation
Review strategic goals
