Uses and Limitations |
Oz/Wash Land Trust Easement:
The right to provide: low-impact based outdoor recreation, including but
not limited to hiking, bird watching and cross-country skiing.
The right to upgrade, construct, or place the following improvements on the
property:
- existing driveway
- parking area
- restroom
- staircase or similar structure for the purpose of providing safe,
controlled access to the beach
- educational, informational, and or perimeter signs
- hiking trails or walking paths
Following specific uses and activities are prohibited:
- commercial and industrial uses or activities
- Metallic and non-metallic mining operations, including removal or
extraction of minerals by any surface mining method.
- Construction of any structure, improvement or road, except as provided
above.
- Division or subdivision of the Property into smaller parcels
- Use of motorized vehicles on the property except in connection with
permitted activities or uses and in connection with habitat and resource
management and monitoring.
- Harvesting or removal of timber or vegetation except in accordance
with the permitted uses and activities, removal and control of invasive
species, and to avoid dangerous situations.
- Dumping, storage or disposal of waste, refuse, sludge or sewage,
inoperative vehicles or debris of any kind
- Agricultural or horticultural uses
- Erection or placement of billboards or signs on the land except as
provided above.
- Alteration of the surface of the Property, including filling,
excavation, removal or placement of topsoil, sand, gravel or other material
except as provided for above.
- Burning of trash, garbage or other materials
- Construction of any utility pipe line, cable, cellular tower or
structure above, on or under the surface of the property
Stewardship Contract and Land Management Plan
To assure the natural, conservation, wildlife habitat, and open spaces
values will be protected in perpetuity
Protect the natural vegetation, animals, soils, land, water, and other
biotic and abiotic components
Shall attempt to stabilize eroding areas
Honeysuckle, buckthorn and other invasive exotic shrubs shall be removed as
resources allow
Restrictions:

- no topographic changes
-
- no extraction of subsurface materials, or alterations of the natural
landscape or waters by excavation, filling, drainage, tiling, ditching, or
any other means except as may be approved

- no construction or placement of any new building or structures,
permanent or mobile,
-
- no construction or placement of any billboards or other advertising
materials
-
- no playing fields or play grounds
-
- no antennas, towers, roads, driveways or any other temporary or
permanent structure or improvements (except that the existing driveway into
the property may be maintained and upgraded and a small parking area may be
constructed
-
- signs for educational or informational purposes may be erected and
perimeter signage may be places along the boundaries
-
- staircase to the beach and restroom may be constructed or placed on
the property
-
- may develop hiking trails
-
- no placing or storing, temporarily or permanently, of any material
including animal feeds and wastes, soil, ashes, trash, sawdust, brush, piles
of gravel, garbage or any unsightly, offensive or hazardous material

- no industrial or commercial activity

- Recreation allowed: Hiking,Nature study, Environmental education and
research

- No camping, horseback riding, or bicycling except on the driveway on
to the property

- Hunting is at the discretion of the owner
-
- No operation of any motorized recreational vehicle, including, but not
limited to snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, and dune buggies, except as
needed for maintenance and land management purposes.
